Le latéral droit du Havre, Loïc Nego, qui défendra les couleurs de la Hongrie durant l’Euro 2024, ne participera pas à la première journée du tournoi allemand, ce samedi, face à Suisse, annonce le journal L’Equipe.

Il y a quelques heures, dans une interview accordée au journal L’Equipe, Loïc Nego affichait les ambitions de la Hongrie pendant l’Euro 2024 : « On veut finir aux deux premières places. Je vais même aller plus loin, finir premier. Il y a toujours des équipes surprises. On ne se met donc pas de limites. Récemment, on a battu des grosses nations, comme l’Angleterre. On va jouer le coup à fond. »

L’arrière droit de 33 ans est contraint de déclarer forfait pour l’entrée en lice des Hongrois, ce samedi, à Cologne, contre la Suisse. La raison ? Il a été touché à la cuisse, lors du match amical contre l’Irlande (1-2), il y a 10 jours. Selon L’Equipe, Nego pourrait faire son retour contre l’Allemagne (le pays hôte), ce mercredi. C’est le joueur du Rapid Vienne, Bendeguz Bolla, qui devrait le remplacer dans le 3-4-2-1 de Marco Rossi.

Après cette rencontre face aux Suisses, les partenaires de Dominik Szoboszlai affronteront les Allemands (19 juin, à Stuttgart) et l’Écosse (23 juin, à Stuttgart).
