Dans un communiqué publié sur son réseau social X, les Girondins de Bordeaux ont annoncé qu’ils « acceptent la sanction de rétrogradation administrative au sein du Championnat de National 1 pour la saison 2024-2025 ».
Cette fois-ci, c’est sûr : les Girondins de Bordeaux n’évolueront pas en Ligue 2 la saison prochaine. Avec une dette de 42 millions d’euros, les dirigeants bordelais avaient fait appel, le 9 juillet dernier, de la décision de la DNCG d’une rétrogradation en National 1 (troisième division française) à titre conservatoire. Le club au Scapulaire avait l’espoir d’un rachat par le propriétaire de Liverpool, Fenway Sports Group. Il n’aura pas lieu, malgré des derniers échanges, ce lundi, qui n’ont pas abouti.
Ainsi, « le FC Girondins de Bordeaux s’est désisté de l’appel interjeté à l’encontre de la décision de la DNCG en date du 9 juillet dernier », explique le club dans un communiqué. Avant de poursuivre et d’annoncer : « En conséquence, le FC Girondins de Bordeaux accepte la sanction de rétrogradation administrative au sein du Championnat de National 1 pour la saison 2024/2025 et sera à nouveau convoqué pour présenter son budget devant la DNCG. «
